THE STORY
Great blue herons never seem to be satisfied with their nests, as they continue building and renovating them long after their chicks are born. This heron found and procured a sturdy limb near the coastline, and opted to take a beautifully scenic route back to its nest.
This capture provides an excellent vantage point for some of the most unique colors found on great blue herons that are exhibiting breeding plumage. From the brilliant blue lore, to the dark navy plumes atop the crest, there are many different shades of blue visible. Not to be missed among this sea of blue, however, are the reddish/brownish features along the leading edges of the wings. These birds are truly stunning!

We require 1-3 business days to prepare all pieces for either in-gallery pickup, local delivery, or shipping. Should you select Gallery Pickup at checkout, please await further instruction until scheduling your visit.
Non-local orders will be boxed or crated, and will be delivered by either UPS Ground or a freight provider, depending upon the piece(s) ordered. This will be communicated to you upon order confirmation.

A limited number of Artist Proofs—no more than two—may be offered periodically.
Once this Limited Edition is fully collected, this capture will never be offered to the public again.
Uniquely Yours
Your piece will feature its individual numbering and artist's original signature on the rear. Upon your request, Zach can sign and number the front as well.
Also included are two Certificates of Authenticity: one adhered to the rear of the piece, and the other as a collectible parchment to be stored in your archives.

Your piece will also resist fading for a minimum of 75 years, so your piece can truly become an heirloom for generations to come.
The Frame
All frames are made of sustainably sourced solid wood. When offered, mats are made of pure cotton, and glass is always anti-reflective and anti-UV mineral glass.
