"No visit to Grand Teton National Park is complete without seeing a free-roaming herd of the American Buffalo. I know of no other symbol that more greatly exemplifies the ruggedness and determination necessary to survive in the American West.
"On this morning, the sun was just beginning to shine over snow-capped mountains to the east. These warm rays created magical illusions atop the wild grasses as the dew droplets seemed to dance. However, these rays created a second masterpiece by illuminating every single particle of dirt and dust that an aggressive bison (right) was kicking up during its show of force to its impending foe.
"As beautiful as this combination of light and nature is, my favorite parts about this capture are the eyes of the bison. The expressions of the aggressor and defender are impossible to describe, yet their emotions are perfectly perceptible to all who examine closely.
