THE STORY
In southern Florida, in this case Orchid Island, blue land crabs are quite common. Simply driving down A1A can lead to hundreds of sightings of these quick moving crustaceans scurrying across lanes of travel. Folklore states they can puncture car tires, but no locals are able to corroborate such claims.
As bold as they are crossing roads and thoroughfares, they are actually quite bashful when in the presence of humans. Here, a bashful individual attempts to hide—but his vibrant color makes it impossible.
PRESENTATION DETAILS
Giclée prints will be printed personally by Zach at his studio. He selects the ideal and most complementary paper for each print. All prints are archival (will resist fading for decades) and will be printed on paper produced by Hahnemühle or Ilford. All prints are hand-signed by Zach, and feature a 1" margin on all sides, allowing for the matting and framing of your choice. Prints will be shipped rolled. Captures may be slightly cropped to fit the shown dimensions.
Crystal blocks measure 1" thick, and are made of a shatterproof, glass-like acrylic. Your selected capture is printed on Fuji Crystal Archive Glossy paper, and is mounted to the rear of the block. The result is a glossy appearance that is an inspired selection for bright captures. A Certificate of Authenticity will be affixed to the rear of the piece. Captures will be slightly cropped to fit the shown dimensions.
Standing frames are solid wood frames that can be hung or stood upright on any flat surface. The color of the wood has been carefully selected by Zach to complement the capture. Frames are .1" wide, and ~1.3" deep (these measurements should be added to the displayed dimensions of the capture). A Certificate of Authenticity will be affixed to the rear of the piece. These pieces feature the entire uncropped capture.

This capture is an Open Edition, and is currently offered in the presentations and dimensions shown.

Giclée Prints
Zach personally produces all prints in-studio using carefully chosen equipment. An appropriate paper will be selected for your capture that perfectly complements its colors, tone, and mood.
Zach hand-signs all prints in the lower-right corner.
Your print will feature the highest possible level of quality and detail. Please understand that it is not possible to portray this quality on your device's monitor. Our prints are archival quality, and will resist fading for many years. A proper frame will extend this for decades.
Prints include a 1" margin on all sides, allowing you to mat and/or frame the print however you wish. The dimensions shown includes this margin.
Crystal Blocks
For bright captures, or for bright spaces, our crystal blocks are an inspired selection.
Prints are made with the same high quality of our giclée prints prior to being affixed to the crystal.
The glossy finish of this shatterproof 1" thick acrylic material ensures that your selected capture is noticed and enjoys a fantastic appearance—regardless of its petit size.
Standing Frames
Framed petitart captures enjoy the same highest level of quality. Prints are mounted to a thin layer of aluminum for rigidity and strength, prior to being carefully framed by hand.
Frames are made of solid, sustainably sourced wood. The wood displayed for this piece has been carefully selected by Zach to perfectly complement the capture, while still remaining neutral and appropriate for most any setting.
These frames can be hung, or they can freely stand upright on any flat surface.
