"Ospreys typically employ two methods of catching fish.
"The first is their signature move, what they are known for: a full-speed graceful crash, talons first, into the water, as they spear their prey. The second is what I refer to as 'eagle style' or pluck-and-go, where they emulate an eagle that never stops flying as they pluck their unsuspecting prey from the waters below.
"Ospreys seem to prefer the former method, but when the water is shallow, they will use the 'eagle style' form of attack. This was the case for this osprey flying into gorgeous morning light."
