Ancient Migration

CONSERVATION CAPTURE

This is a Conservation Capture. When you purchase an edition of this capture, 10% of your purchase price will be donated to the Grand Teton National Park Foundation in your honor.

The beautiful foreground of this capture was part of what was previously known as the "Kelly Parcel," a square mile inholding within the borders of Grand Teton National Park. After the State of Wyoming began exploring the possibility of auctioning it to the highest bidder (most surely to be a real estate developer), the Grand Teton National Park Foundation committed to raising the funds necessary to match the parcel's appraised value( when combined with federal funds) for a total of $100 million. As a result, this parcel is now officially part of Grand Teton National Park!

This was truly a victory for everyone that loves Jackson Hole and the Tetons. Who knows what the next battle will consist of, but this organization has proven that they're willing to protect these sacred lands.

THE STORY

As a beautiful spring day ends, so also does a snowstorm among the highest elevations of the Tetons. This herd of elk continues along their ancient migratory route, farther north into the park and beyond.

BESPOKE ORDERS

In most cases, we are able to create completely bespoke pieces upon request. These can include custom dimensions and your preferred presentation style. Continue scrolling for examples of popular presentation styles.

ARTIST PROOFS

A very small number of Artist Proofs (typically no more than three) may be offered over the lifespan of a Limited Edition capture.

Our Artist Proofs are actual proofs used by Zach, and are not produced merely to artificially inflate the edition size. As a result, their availability is not predictable. If any Artist Proofs are available for this capture, they will be displayed above as a purchasable piece.

PRODUCTION / SHIPPING / PICKUP

Pieces not in stock require up to 4-8 weeks for production. Please remember that each piece we sell is truly fine art in every sense of the word, and each step is performed by hand by the world's finest artisans.

For in-stock pieces, please allow us up to 3 business days to prepare your order for either in-gallery pickup, local delivery, or shipping. Should you select Gallery Pickup at checkout, please await further instruction until scheduling your visit.

Orders to be shipped will be boxed or crated, and will be delivered by either UPS Ground or a freight provider, depending upon the piece(s) ordered. This will be communicated to you upon order confirmation.

Presentation Possibilities

Feather Frame

Our most popular frame. Made of solid wood and offered in multiple finishes and colors. From the front, they have a thin profile (~.3"). The frame is over an inch deep, allowing the capture to truly stand out from the wall or mounting surface.

We can assist you with selecting the perfect color for your space that will complement the capture.

Floating Frame

Very similar to the Feather Frame, but with a slightly thicker profile.

There is a space between the capture and the frame, creating a unique floating effect.

Print Finishes

For Feather and Floating Frame orders, your capture can be finished with either a matte or glossy protective lamination.

Sans Glare (matte) will eliminate all reflections and glare—a remarkable feat without impacting capture clarity. Glossy will provide a brighter appearance, but reflections will likely be visible.

Crystal

A piece of acrylic or glass is mounted directly atop the print. Expect a bright appearance and visible reflections.

Acrylic is available in Brilliant (glossy) and Lustre (semi-matte); for Glass, we utilize a mineral glass with anti-reflective and anti-UV properties. Crystal selections can be framed with various woods, or displayed without a frame (pictured).

Passe-Partout

This timeless and traditional technique includes a pure cotton mat for allowing your selected capture to truly assume center stage.

Frames are made of solid wood, and we utilize a mineral glass with anti-reflective and anti-UV properties to ensure a beautiful appearance for many generations.
