Likely similar to yourself, I’m wondering where so much of this summer has gone. It is already mid-July, and I’ve found myself reviewing my summer to-do list, wondering if I’m going to be able to complete all of the tasks I planned back in the spring.

Fortunately, one goal I have been successful in achieving has been spending more time in the surf. One of my goals for the summer was to spend more time on our local beaches. It is simply too easy to find something else to do this time of year, and to convince myself that battling the traffic and crowds isn’t worth it. The truth, however, is that spending time in nature—whether that is on a beach or hiking in the mountains—is always worth whatever effort is required.

I’ve spent quite a few sunrises on area beaches, and I’ve been rewarded each and every time. Sure, there may be more people on the beaches this time of year, and there may be a bit more litter, but the experience is still beautiful and soul-renewing.

I hope you’ve had a wonderful summer so far, and that you still have plans for a few more memorable activities. Here is what I’ve been up to in my gallery, studio, and with my cameras:

The Gallery

After opening my new gallery in Santa Rosa beach earlier this summer, I’ve been busy with private viewings as well as calls and Facetime chats with Collectors. Just a reminder that if you’re not local to the area, you can always request a call or Facetime with me! As long as the capture you’re interested in has edition capacity remaining, we can almost always create a bespoke piece with your desired dimensions, framing style, finish, etc. We can crate and ship your pieces to you, no matter where you may be.

I’ve been planning a few gallery events for the fall as well, so stay tuned for those!

The Studio

It can be difficult to balance time between my gallery and still being an artist out in Creation or in my studio. By offering private appointments at the gallery instead of accepting walk-ins, I’m able to ensure I have time for both, and that visitors have a private, non-rushed experience with me. We’ve had a bit more rain than the last few years here in the panhandle, which has allowed me more studio time to prepare new releases. I’ve been quite busy finalizing my new book, Exploring Creation: African Safari, as well as preparing some new gallery releases. I’ll share some of these below, but many won’t be released until later this year…

New Collections & Releases

Speaking of new releases, I’ve released multiple new captures this summer, and I even created a few new collections! Here’s a quick overview:

Emerald & White

This new collection celebrates the sugar-white sands and emerald waters of the beaches along Florida’s gulf coast. Here are this collection’s newest releases:

30Aura

Now that I have a gallery on the famed County Highway 30A, it seemed only appropriate to have a collection featuring the unique natural beauty found in this region. The rare coastal dune lakes and their brackish interactions with the salty gulf are not found in many places worldwide, and I’m looking forward to featuring this stunning phenomenon with this new collection. Here are my inaugural releases:

Ephemeral

There are so many moments in Creation that truly last only an instant… A beautiful etching in the sand carved by the surf… The salty splash of a cresting wave… The exhaled breath of a Rocky Mountain elk backlit by a rising sun…

These types of moments are going to be showcased within this new collection, and they are intended for Collectors that value exclusivity. Just like the moments captured, each piece in this collection is a pièce unique: a Limited Edition of only one. No second offerings, no artist proofs. One capture produced into a single piece for one Collector.

Here is the inaugural release from this exciting new conceptual collection—a six feet wide piece featuring the white sands of Florida's gulf coast:

Summary

I hope you have plans to make the most of the remaining summer. I’d love to hear from you about what you’ve already done, and what your aspirations are for the remaining warm weather!

Thank you for reading and for your support!

Naturally Yours,
